Joy isn’t something you try to have, its a natural reaction to something joyful.

“Rejoice always” isn’t necessarily a command. It’s more like an if-then statement. If you know and trust in Jesus, then you will always rejoice.

Haha, i think it was last sunday. I was praying with the students before service and I asked God for joy and love as I serve Him on His day. And I really was joyful, not because of anything that happened but just because. Haha someone even asked me why I was so happy. I guess being emotionless isn’t an excuse to not be joyous.

The Ephraimites will become like mighty men,
and their hearts will be glad as with wine.
Their children will see it and be joyful;

28- hope in things unseen

I always thought I was more like my dad. My mom has been cleaning a lot, intense cleaning. She’s not good at hiding her feelings, but she doesn’t initiate or like talking about them.

Ah this pressure to be strong makes me want to run away from everything. But thats not the point.

If our foundation is in Jesus, then when crap happens, you fall on Him and nothing else. Unshakable. I told my girls last Sunday to please choose Jesus when crap happens. please hold on to him. That before any other, turn to Him first. Choose Jesus even when it seems impossible. Especially when you don’t want to choose Him, when you just want to run away from all your problems..hold on to Him and don’t give up. and to build the strength and faith to do this by knowing God and His Word.

As I was saying those words, I was reminded again of what i needed to do. Mm, need to act upon the Word that I heard and have.

Faith is hope in things unseen. Faith comes from hearing the Word. Jesus is the author and perfecter of faith.

Complete trust in Him. Complete submission to His Will. Patience and endurance. Death and life. One Truth and One Love. Complete trust.

Where is my heart. I don’t want my heart..I want You to have it.

Love trusts. Trust is broken in my family. The suspicion is causing fear and anxiety. Breaking peace and love.

ah, had the best tutoring time - spent an hour just talking about God with the student. honestly, PTL and thank You God.

People have their own definition of justice and righteousness, even jr high kids. And they get caught up with their own view vs. the One Truth. More than once I was asked, “what about poor African kids or infant babies?” or “do murderers go to heaven?” or “are ghost buster TV shows real?”

It’s about having faith in Jesus, which shows in your heart and actions. And He will show true justice.
